Simple All Natural Skin Care Recipes

With hundreds of skin care products in the aisles of the local drug store, you may be tempted to try every one of them, but that can really add up. So what can you do instead? You can make all natural skin care remedies right at home.

Making your own skin care products is a good idea. This way you know they won't include any harmful chemicals or ingredients that may clog pores or cause other skin issues. Natural Moisturizer Recipes:

Aloe vera is a gel from the leaves of the aloe vera plant and is a great skin moisturizer, plus it helps soothes sun burns. Instead of buying it from the store, just get it straight from an aloe vera plant - which is super easy to grow. Mix the gel with olive oil or coconut milk. It works great for both night and day moisturizing.

Back to the bees. Honey is miracle food but it's also a miracle for your skin. Try combing equal parts honey, vegetable oil and lemon juice to make body lotion. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off for smooth, refreshed skin.

Natural Face Wash Recipes:

All natural face washes might not foam like a commercial product, but it also won't dry out and damage your skin - plus you know it won't contain lots of chemicals. Mix two tablespoons of milk with a 1/8 cup of ground almonds and a teaspoon of lemon juice. This will help exfoliate and wash away dead skin cells.

For dry skin, mix equal parts yogurt and cooked oatmeal with some cucumber juice. This can also smooth dry skin caused by eczema.

If you're looking for a facial mask for some serious deep cleansing, try applying honey to your face, let it sit for 30 minutes and then rinse for healthy, glowing skin. For a more complex exfoliation, grab your blender and put a half a banana, half an avocado, a teaspoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of yogurt in a blender. Mix well and then apply the mixture to your face. Let sit for 15 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. Some say that banana is also a great wrinkle preventer.
