Beating Dry Winter Skin with a Beauty Balm

Winter skin needs moisture; we know this. My all time favorite beauty product to keep my skin soft in winter is a beauty balm.  They are incredibly versatile and absolutely work.  Most of the beauty balms can be used anywhere on the body.  Elbows, feet, hands, cuticles, and even frizzy hair benefit from using a beauty balm.  Of course I choose balms made with simple, healthy, natural ingredients; I find they work the best and are kind to my skin.

A new favorite beauty balm of mine is produced by Neal's Yard Remedies.  The Wild Rose Beauty Balm is just as versatile as a few others I have tried and I loved the way it smelled on my skin.  The company features many all natural skin care products and has a great company philosophy.

Neal's Yard Remedies creates it's products based on a few important principles.  They provide products that work, they take care of the environment, and the end result is that they empower people to live a healthy lifestyle.  They continue to research ingredients and include only the best in their finished products. This is what I look for in a company when I purchase my all natural beauty products.

The Wild Rose Beauty Balm contains only all natural ingredients that are rown from pure sources, including many ingredients that are grown on their own organic farm.  The balm is then made by hand in small batches.  The Wild Rose balm is comprised of many beneficial butters and oils.  Shea butter is well known for it's intense moisturizing properties, and Rosehip oil is loaded with anti-oxidants and vitamin C.  Jojoba oil and natural beeswax are the base for this great product.  Ingredients like Borage and Hemp seed oils provide essential fatty acids for the skin, while Frankincense and Patchouli provide toning and balancing properties.

I was given a pamphlet with the balm that showed me how to use it as a cleanser, a face mask, and of course an intense moisturizer for my dry skin.  It also included instructions to use it for a facial massage.  I used it both as a moisturizer and tried it as a cleanser.  I loved the way my skin felt after applying the product and then using the muslim cloth provided in the package to wipe away all the dirt and cleanser from my skin.

I also used the Wild Rose Beauty Balm on my feet at night, applying it to all the rough spots putting on a pair of warm socks.  It absorbed into my hands nicely and had them soft and smooth as well. I have not used it on my nails as a cuticle softener, but I am sure it will do the trick on those as well as it has moisturized the rest of my body.  Beauty balms are perfect for nail care.

Environmentally sound products, organically grown ingredients, and a company that has been around for many years providing natural beauty care are what matters to me. The Wild Rose Beauty Balm from Neal’s Yard Remedies is a product I would recommend.
